How is coaching different from Therapy? Coaching is not therapy, which goes into depth about various issues, usually dealing with the past. Coaching is more action-orientated and focuses primarily on the present and future. It's not about therapy or healing.
Coaching is about self-reliance and personal responsibility. It's about taking action, contributing, and making an impact. At its core, coaching is about helping people tap into existing strengths and talents. My clients have the answers already - my job is to engage them in a dialogue that brings those answers to the surface.
Therapy is about healing; Coaching is about achievement
Therapy is about understanding; Coaching is about action
Therapy is about safety; Coaching is about momentum
Therapy is about progress; Coaching is about performance
Therapy is about protecting; Coaching is about attracting
Therapy is about resolving; Coaching is about creating
Therapy is about getting closure; Coaching is about creating new openingsxv

What to expect Telephone coaching or face-to-face are options. Therapy requires face-to-face sessions while with coaching telephone sessions may be preferred by the client. Each session will be directed by the client so focus can be made on what is happening in your life and which direction you wish to take. Each session will be a 45 minute conversation. The service is based on a minimum of four weekly sessions lasting 45 minutes. During the week you will be expected to complete the tasks we have set together in each session and be accountable at the commencement of the next session.
